The Leadership Crisis

The Leadership Crisis

The explosive church expansion has resulted in a leadership crisis of epic proportions. Conservatively speaking, if 120,000 people come to Christ each day, and a pastor is needed for each hundred, 1,200 new, trained pastors would be required daily. This is equal to 438,000 trained pastors needed each year just to match church growth. Some pastors must shepherd from five to twenty congregations.

Assuming that it takes four years for pastors to complete their education, 1,752,000 pastors would currently need to be receiving that training. When we consider the nine million current pastors who lack training, we can see that our challenge is to train 10,752,000 pastors to meet the current void.

Currently, approximately only three thousand students every year can be trained by physical schools outside of the US. Public seminaries cannot exist in restricted-access countries. We have a colossal leadership training crisis.

That's not the only challenge the church faces today in restricted-access countries. Click here to read more.
